Cancer52 is already a virtual organisation and has run under this business model for a number of years, only bringing people together to help empower our members, share information and allow for some hugely productive networking.
But under current circumstances we have reorganised all our meetings to virtual ones.
More importantly, we will share information about coronavirus for people with rare and less common cancer with all our members via e-bulletins. Cancer52 is regularly joining teleconference calls with NHSE and other charities on the evolving situation to ensure there is an up to date flow of consistent information.
55% of UK cancer deaths are from rare and less common cancers.
Despite this, these cancers remain severely under represented and
under-funded across all areas, including policy, services and research.
Cancer52 is an alliance of nearly 100 organisations working to address this inequality and improve outcomes for patients with these highly challenging diseases.
