Our Policy Team

One of Cancer52’s key strengths lies within the expertise and skills of those individuals who give their time to help drive forward the agenda for rare and less common cancers through their knowledge and understanding of the field of cancer policy.

All members of our Policy and Public Affairs Steering Group are policy leaders within their own organisations and as a group provide a unique insight and guidance to the organisation on continuing to press rare and less common cancers on to the policy making agenda.

The Policy and Public Affairs Steering Group (PPASG) was initially established in early 2016 and has grown steadily since then. It is broadly representative of the cancers included within Cancer52’s membership.

The PPASG supports the CEO and policy lead with their contributions to the consultation responses, position statements and other papers produced by Cancer52.

Essentially the focus of our work is around delivery of the Cancer Strategy; access to data for rare and less common cancers; and access to medicines and treatments.
