The ACT NOW for Cancer project has been initiated, organised and fully funded by Kyowa Kirin. All case studies have been provided by the respective Cancer52 charity members. Kyowa Kirin has no involvement in the individual projects beyond coordination of this report.

Cancer52 is proud to lead ACT NOW for Cancer, in collaboration with Kyowa Kirin; a new initiative showcasing real-world case studies from our charity member organisations. These case studies are making a difference for people affected by rare and less common cancers.

Why ACT NOW for Cancer?

As the National Cancer Plan and 10 Year Health Plan shape the future of cancer care, we want to ensure that proven, effective solutions already working in parts of the NHS are not overlooked in the time taken to implement new policy. ACT NOW for Cancer highlights such projects, ready to be scaled up and adopted more widely to benefit patients today.

The Focus

This initiative is built on three simple principles:

  • Accelerate: Speed up the adoption of what works.

  • Collaborate: Unite organisations, communities, and systems.

  • Transform: Deliver meaningful change in cancer care.

On 5th November 2025, Cancer52 hosted a reception in Westminster, bringing together patients, members, policymakers, and stakeholders to showcase these case studies. Creating an opportunity to learn from what’s working, and to act now to make a difference.
