CEO, Alike

Brad is a two-time cancer survivor and a well-known figure in the cancer community. He is the founder and director of Alike, an innovative and dynamic charity that has been created to combat loneliness and isolation among those impacted by cancer. In February 2021, the charity launched a new iOS and Android peer support platform which enables cancer patients and survivors to connect with one another across the country. Alike’s aim is to utilise modern technology by continuing to adapt its platform to new and emerging communication tools. Brad is an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur and the Vice-chair of the National Academy for Social Prescribing. He is also the recipient of the Diana Award and the Prime Minister’s Point of Light Award.

Victoria Harper is currently overseeing content curation for Weare8 app - a new social media platform which has been created to inspire, empower and enable people to collectively tackle some of the world’s biggest problems.  

With 25 years worth of experience working with some of the UK’s biggest media brands, most recently as Features Director of the Telegraph, Victoria has launched several national campaigns which have created real change at government level.

Andrew Short

Managing Director, Medli Health

Andrew Short is the Managing Director at Medli Health. With his expertise in commercial strategy, Andrew leads the way in working closely with the company's target markets, including charities, life sciences, and health alliances. He is passionate about innovative solutions, identifying digital patient health opportunities, and building collaborative partnerships. Before joining Medli Health, Andrew honed his skills working with tech start-ups and scale-ups across capital markets in London and New York, accelerating demand and growth opportunities. He also boasts a successful commercial career at well-known tech integration organisations such as TIBCO, Cognos (IBM Analytics), BlackBerry Enterprise, and Inmarsat. When he's not busy at work, Andrew enjoys playing tennis, practicing yoga, and flying planes as a qualified pilot.
