The All Members meeting was a very informative and enjoyable session, which featured a mix of great speakers.
Jennifer Mitchell and Laura Thomas from Brighter Together who are our policy advisers presented on what our recent members survey on where we are now with the Long Term Plan had told us – 24 member charities participated.
Karen Fitzgerald, Programme Director - Accelerate, Coordinate, Evaluate (ACE) at CRUK, who spoke of the Rapid Diagnostic Centres – cornerstones of upcoming work for Cancer Alliances.
Dr Louise Carter, Senior Clinical Lecturer in Experimental Cancer Medicine and Honorary Consultant in Medical Oncology, who spoke of her work and that of her team on phase I trials at the Christie Hospital and how we might work together in finding some patients for those trials.
