Our Members
All our members work in the field of rare and less common cancer, ie, outside the 'big four' cancers of breast, bowel, lung and prostate.
Our membership is predominantly made up of small patient support group cancer charities though some of our members are also active in research.
The majority of our membership have an annual income of less than £1 million and many of those have an income of less than £100,000[i].
More than 80 per cent of Cancer52's member organisations[ii] work with rare cancers, i.e., one that affects five people or fewer in 10,000[iii].

Childhood cancer is sadly the number one medical cause of death in children in the UK. The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust specialises in the funding of research into rare, aggressive childhood cancers, raising awareness on a national scale, working for earlier diagnosis or children and in the provision of support for families at the time when they need it most.
Leukaemia UK is the UK’s dedicated research charity which works to save and improve the lives of those affected by a leukaemia diagnosis, through funding world class research and ground-breaking care.

The Mavis Nye Foundation was created to inspire victims of mesothelioma, an asbestos related terminal cancer. To give hope to fellow victims and show a light at the end of the tunnel. The Foundation's primary aim is to reach out to as many donators and fundraisers as possible to offer grants to smaller research Labs to pursue the development of new drugs for mesothelioma research in the UK.
ThymicUK was established by patients with thymic cancers, their families and carers. Our purposes are to provide support, advocate and share information, to facilitate research and improve the treatments available in the UK. ThymicUK hopes to increase the overall survival and quality of life of patients with thymic cancers.
